Since I'm a nerd like that, I'm going to spend about 2 and a half hours at a library this Friday with a couple friends.
What books do you recommend I get? I'm in the mood for something with suspense and romance. Young Adult books only, please (unless it's a classic Exp: Dracula, Shakespeare, Wicked). I want as many reccomendations as possible! I'm a HUGE book buff. Ah! I love that phrase!!! ....BooK Buff.... Sorry for the off task-ness.
Yeah, please suggest some books. I'm running low on book supply. I've read all the books I have, and now I have been reduced to reading The Twilight Companion.* I mean, who reads the guide to the series books?! It's not even by Stephenie Meyer (which actually makes it better). Series Companions don't even have plots! It's terrifying! Like it says in my "About The Author," my hands are shaking with the lack of real book.
So I suggest that you suggest, for the sake of my well-being.

I recently read Eighth Grade Bites by Heather Brewer, and it was really good. Not sure it's what you're looking for, but I still recommend it.
Have you read Mediator or Airhead by Meg Cabot??? They were both really good.

How picky are you? (i.e. content.) I'm super picky about what I read, so I know a lot about YA.
I'm not that picky. It just has to be
a) at least a bit well-written, and
b) a real page-tuner.

Okay Book Buff,
I've been going trough the same stage of 'I can't find anything to read!' But I'll see what I can do.
For classics, I've been reading (and loving) Tolkien, he's pretty funny. If you like him, but have read him, Try C. S. Lewis' Narnia (Lion, witch and the wardrobe was my favorite.)
I have a "Twiligher" friend and she LOVES the 'Atonement child', I haven't read it, so I can't tell you if its good or bad.
Also, I have been reading Anthony Horowitz's 'Diamond Brothers mysteries', they are short and funny, I like them. Also, I have a book on hold at the library by Horowitz called 'Stormbreaker' (Alex Rider) another friend recommended that to me (she said that it was "About spy stuff", I am VERY excited about it.)
My favorite author is Ted Dekker, he does action/suspence/mystery and a teeny bit of romance. (Note: he is labeled under "Adult fiction" and "Christian fiction" but he's not much of either. Remember, I'm really picky and I can't stand the books that are constantly trying to convert you. Ted isn't like that, he just delivers a good story. They don't call me BookSnob for nothing:)
A lot of people say that the "Private" books are good, I couldn't get passed the first chapter because it was depressing and the swearing was through the roof (okay, it was through the roof for a home schooler who doesn't go anywhere.)

P.S. Oh! Oh! I just remembered, I read "Saving Juliet" by Suzanne Selfors last year. I liked it.

I've been wanting to read the Diamond Brothers Mysteries for a while now but I haven't been able to find them. It really stinks because I've read all the other Anthony Horowitz YA books already. He's, like, my all time favorite author. So, yeah, I second BookSnob's suggestion of Stormbreaker. Or Raven's Gate, the first book in the Gatekeepers series (same author). It's kind of supernatural and really awesome. :)
